Dear Valued Stakeholders, Partners, and Well-Wishers,
On behalf of Glaciers Energy Pvt. Ltd., I extend my warm greetings and invite you to be a part of our ambitious journey toward clean energy development. Electricity is an essential part of modern life, and today, we cannot imagine a single day without it. While Nepal has an estimated 82,000 MW of hydropower potential, many of our fellow citizens still lack access to reliable electricity.
Recognizing this immense opportunity, a team of dedicated, experienced, and visionary professionals has come together to contribute to Nepal’s energy transformation. With the guidance and support of industry experts and senior professionals, we are embarking on our first project—the 5 MW Sisa Khola Run-of-the-River (ROR) Hydropower Project, located in Solukhumbu District. This project, with an estimated investment of NPR 1.10 billion (USD 8.02 million), marks the beginning of our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Our next project in the pipeline is a 10 MW Cascade, with the potential to be upgraded to 18 MW. We are currently consulting experts to evaluate the best option in terms of gross revenue and project construction costs for a 10 MW vs. 18 MW capacity. This assessment will help us determine the most efficient and economically viable path forward for sustainable energy development.
Besides these two projects, we are actively working on additional developments. Our technical team is in the field identifying and evaluating suitable project sites. With a strong commitment to sustainable energy, we have set an ambitious goal to develop an additional 100+ MW within the next 3 to 5 years. To achieve this, we are engaged in discussions with key individuals and institutional investors who share our vision for Nepal’s energy future.
